Degree Overview

Business in today’s digitally connected world is increasingly global. A Global Business Certificate from the Calvin University School of Business supplements your business degree and prepares you for a global and culturally diverse career.

Corporations like Apple and JPMorgan Chase are headquartered in the US, yet lead in the global marketplace—and most small and medium sized businesses have customers, suppliers, employees, and partners abroad. You'll need a deep understanding of international trade and cross-cultural business practices to lead in any organization with a global reach, whether it's a non-profit or a Fortune 500 company.

Your Calvin courses already introduce you to these topics—but as you pursue a Global Business Certificate, you'll delve more deeply into them. You'll graduate not only with a business degree, but with the practical skills and cultural insight to succeed in multicultural business environments.

Program Distinctives

Hands-on experience abroad - You’ll step well beyond the classroom to learn—you’ll travel abroad to study business and related topics in Kenya, Mexico, Switzerland, or another location around the world.
Valuable at any scale - The skills and experience you gain will apply equally to well whether you plan to work at a small business or non-profit, lead in a big corporation, or start your own business and engage suppliers abroad.
Faith-shaped perspective - As you study issues that touch on international law, economics, politics, ethics, and human rights, you'll do so from a perspective of committed Christian faith.
