New business program provides supply of in-demand graduates
This fall, Calvin University is launching the Operations and Supply Chain Management program. The program was built after talking with multiple business leaders from various industries about what skills are needed today and what will set graduates up for future success 5-10 years down the road.

Rasendrahasina received the Betty Van Andel Scholarship. The $2,500 scholarship was the largest awarded by Opera Grand Rapids this year.

A voice for Opera
Fitah Rasendrahasina plays a starring role in Opera Grand Rapids’ production of Giacomo Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut.” The Calvin College junior portrays Edmondo, a young student who is a friend to the story’s hero, Des Grieux. Opera Grand Rapids artistic director Robert Lyall said that it’s uncommon for a college student to play a titled role in a professional production.

Her operatic best
Calvin senior Jennifer Jones won the Opera Grand Rapids competition, singing “Song to the Moon” from Dvorak’s Rusalka and the “Dove sono” from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.
