Calvin-Wire: April 1, 2012

As we enter Holy Week, beginning with Passion/Palm Sunday and ending with the “three days” (also called the Triduum, from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Easter Day) which mark Jesus’ trial, death, and resurrection, you may find these Holy Week resources helpful.

These days feature not only the drama of the triumphal entry, trial, last supper, and crucifixion but also poignant prayers and prophetic teachings of our Lord. The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship also has resources for Easter.

Join members of the Calvin community for a Tenebrae service in the chapel this evening, April 1, at 6 p.m. Tenebrae is Latin for "shadow" or "darkness," and the service prepares our hearts for Holy Week.
