Coming home to Calvin
Here are just a few highlights for Homecoming & Family Weekend 2011 that's coming up October 21 & 22, 2011. Register and get tickets now »
The 10-Year, 25-Year, 40-Year and 45-Year class reunions will celebrate, along with alumni from business and economics. There is a new Family Weekend Tailgate dinner on Friday night for all, many sporting events to choose from, and you will be able to watch practice for the basketball teams. If you have wanted to try the climbing wall, here's your chance, or take a tour of campus or town.
Also scheduled are improv performances, activities for siblings, the annual Cardboard Canoe Race, the Calvin Music Festival, a pancake breakfast fundraiser for music ensembles, art gallery exhibits and tours, Ecosystem Preserve activities and much more.See all the weekend activity information here.
Excellence in sports
There are a lot of exciting headlines in Calvin sports, with volleyball coach Amber Warners picking up her 300th win. Other highlights include:
Calvin has joined the MIAA in adding men's and women's varsity lacrosse beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Jed Christiansen '10 qualifies for U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials at the Chicago Marathon.
