Use of this reserve fund is subject to the following limitations:
- Application for supplemental travel funds should come only after theapplicant’s departmental funds are spent or allocated;
- Funding is presently restricted to faculty participating (speaking or presenting) in the program; funding is not available to attend an event if you are not participating.
- Priority is also given to faculty participating in international programs over (in descending order) national meetings, regional meetings, state meetings, or local meetings of a professional nature;
- When available funds are diminished, all things being equal, priority will be given to applicants who have not received supplemental travel funding in the past year.
- The maximum amount of supplemental travel funds any individual faculty member may receive in a given year is $1,500; and
- Applications must be received and approved by the Dean for Research and Scholarship prior to the travel in question.
To apply for supplemental funding, click on the following button to proceed to the application form. Once you have submitted the form, you should receive a decision in response to your application within two weeks.
Note: This fund operates on a "reimbursement" basis. That is, you will be reimbursed from the fund for travel-related expenses you have incurred. When traveling, keep any receipts for which you expect to be reimbursed. Receipts/Credit Card Statements should be submitted to Dawn Crook (Office for the Dean for Research and Scholarship) for reimbursement. Please contact our office if you have any questions regarding either the Supplemental Travel fund, the application form itself, or the status of your funding application.
