James Preller
Nationally-known writer, James Preller, is the keynote speaker for students in grades four through six. Preller is the author of more than eighty books for children, including the popular Jigsaw Jones mystery series. His book, Bystander, explores the complex issue of bullying—a topic very prevalent in schools today. In Bystander, Preller's characters struggle with the complicated and often-conflicting instincts to fit in, find friends, and do the right thing. His other books include Along Came Spider, Justin Fisher Declares War, and Six Innings, an ALA Notable Book. Preller also writes picture books, and his first young adult novel was published in 2012.
