Student Senate

Student Senate exists to serve the student body in two ways: by representing student opinion and working on initiatives.

About Student Senate

Our mission

As servants of God and the representative voice of the student body, we link students and university decision makers, engage their perspectives, and pursue positive change with integrity.

Our History

Student Senate was founded in 1918 as a group of students who could advocate for their fellow classmates.

Our Structure

Our team is composed of 19 senators and 4 cabinet members who communicate with their fellow classmates about needs, wants, and passions in our community. We work on projects in teams throughout the year to address these improvements and come up with creative solutions to improve every student’s college experience.

We meet every Monday at 4:00-5:30 pm in the Center for Student Engagement meeting room. Join us! Our meetings are open to everyone in the Calvin community!
