The Calvin Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the year on Friday, April 24, at 7:30pm in the CFAC Auditorium. The program is themed “Transformations” and is designed to explore music that reshapes familiar tunes, vivid imagery, and historical styles into bold, new soundscapes. From shimmering works by Roshanne Etezady and Timothy Kramer to folk-inspired pieces by Gordon Jacob and Shelly Hanson, the evening culminates with Paul Hindemith’s triumphant march from Symphonic Metamorphoses. We will also be featuring the premiere of New Dawn, an arrangement of beloved hymn tunes by current Calvin student Mark Smith. Come join us for a concert celebrating creativity, change, and the graduating members of the Wind Ensemble.
