The Center for Social Research at Calvin College recently published a full report resulting from the Christian Reformed Church of North America's Sustaining Pastoral Excellence (SPE) project. The 78-page report breaks down the findings from three waves of surveys, which were given to pastors in 2005, 2007 and 2009. It includes statistical models of pastors’ self-reported health (vocational satisfaction and sustainability), leadership skills, and congregational fulfillment of the CRC’s mission statement. The project was funded by grants from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
