One of the ways CIT maintains the security of your office computer is by pushing software updates and patches to it. Sometimes these updates and patches run “silently” and it won't disrupt your work. Sometimes these updates and patches require some action on your part.
- When we send an update or patch to your computer that needs action on your part you will see:
- The new window will tell you what is to be installed and will give you any additional information you might need. For example, if a reboot is required it will tell you.
- Because there are times when running an update or patch isn’t convenient for you a Snooze button is available. You are able Snooze for a set period of time before being prompted again to Install.
