These are just some "extras" we've picked up along the way that we thought we'd share with you. These applications are not directly supported by CIT, but most of them are easy to use and have their own "Help" areas.

LIFE Photo archive powered by Google is available online, free and even ready for your download. Millions of photographs from the LIFE photo archive,stretching from the 1750s to today, chronicle the 20th century in a breathtaking series of frozen moments. Most were never published and are now available for the first time through the joint work of LIFE and Google.

Museum of Online Museums (MoOM) includes collections and exhibits covering a vast array of interests. The MoOM is organized into three sections: The Museum Campus contains links to brick-and-mortar museums with an interesting online presence. Most of these sites will have multiple exhibits from their collections. The Permanent Collection displays links to exhibits of particular interest to design and advertising. Galleries, Exhibition and Shows is an eclecticand ever-changing list of interesting links to collections and galleries, most of them hosted on personal Web pages. It is updated quarterly, and highlights five collections each quarter.

NASA Images Thousands of photos (and some videos) taken by NASA that are in the public domain. 

New York Public Library Digital Gallery provides free and open access tomore than 640,000 images digitized from the NYPL, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints, photographs and more. Browse by Subjects, Names, Library Divisions or My Selections. Subject categories include Arts & Literature, Cities & Buildings, Culture & Society, History & Geography, Industry & Technology, Nature & Science and Printing & Graphics.

Wordle lets users create word clouds. Simply enter descriptive words about yourself or a topic of interest. Then choose fonts and background colors to make your image more powerful.
