Moving in to campus at Calvin

Welcome!

Thanks for choosing Calvin College and our on-campus housing community! Whether this is your first adventure away from home, or one of many different living situations you’ve had growing up, we’re confident you’ll find your place here. From roommates and suitemates (folks with whom you’ll share your suite), to new friends on your floor and in your halls, you’ll be blessed with relationships and connections. From supportive staff to a wide variety of student organizations and events, you’ll be blessed with opportunities and resources. You can’t help but come away from this experience changed—as a Christian, as a citizen, and as a learner.

Instructions for students arriving for QUEST on August 25, 26 and 28

1. Select and print a copy of the map that corresponds to your residence hall or Knollcrest East apartment assignment. In addition please print a copy of the car sign that corresponds to your housing assignment. We ask that you place the sign on the dashboard of the driver side of your car when you arrive on campus. This will allow our Campus Safety staff to better direct you to your residence hall unloading area.
2. Please proceed to your designated unloading area. Calvin students will be available to help you transport your items from your car to your building. We ask that one member of your party stay with your car at all times and that your vehicle be immediately moved to your designated parking lot once the car is unloaded.
3. We are asking students arriving for QUEST to do so between 9:00a.m. and 3:00pm on August 28th. QUEST begins at 5:00 p.m. with an opening cookout and students will meet with their orientation groups at 6:30 p.m. so you will have the entire afternoon to unpack and get settled in your room.

Instructions for returning students

1. Returning students are scheduled for move-in on Friday, August 30st (unless authorized for earlier arrival for certain work or student leadership positions). Please use the maps to see the traffic-flow plans for your residence hall or KE apartment. Because of congestion, we recommend students consider arriving later on Friday or during the day on Saturday if possible.
