Students will explore Eastern California and the Mojave Desert, some of the most extreme and geologically dramatic landscapes in North America
Field Study in British Columbia (Summer 2027)
This course explores the thriving cities and beautiful landscapes of southwestern British Columbia. Explore vibrant downtowns, exceptional urban parks, agricultural and watershed preserves, transit-oriented urban developments, and diverse immigrant neighborhoods. Hike watershed protection and sustainable development of fragile mountain environments.
Field Study in Hawaii
This course is a field-based study of the geology, geography, and environmental challenges of the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii is a volcanic archipelago and the safest place in the world to observe ongoing volcanic activity and volcanic landforms.
Geology Field Study in New Mexico
4-week course in New Mexico studying geologic field methods and the geologic history of North America
