Overview

Antigone has been part of western culture for 2,500 years, and the issues it deals with are as vital now as they were in 442 B.C. This new translation by Calvin classics professor Umit Dhuga has been specially commissioned by the Calvin Theatre Company, and is the first production it has offered of a Greek play in almost twenty years. Come and experience the power - and the relevance - of one of the greatest plays ever written which asks the age-old question: "Can the moral duty of the individual and the moral duty of the state be reconciled?"
