The John M. Perkins Leadership Fellows is a scholarship program for first-generation college students that cultivates Christian leaders who engage big issues like poverty, injustice, reconciliation and materialism in our multicultural world.
During this weekend event, you’ll learn more about the program, meet program professors and students, interview as a potential Perkins Fellow and be considered for one of two full-tuition scholarships offered to the 2015–16 Perkins Fellows.
Schedule
FRIDAY
- 8:45 a.m.–3 p.m. Optional Fridays at Calvin visit
- 5 p.m. Check-in at The Prince Conference Center on Calvin’s campus.
- 5:30 p.m. Opening banquet and Campus Leadership Expo — Learn more about leadership opportunities and meet current Perkins Fellows and Calvin professors.
- 8 p.m. Evening social activities
Stay overnight with a Calvin student host or at the campus (or nearby) hotel.
SATURDAY
- 9–11 a.m. Individual interviews with Calvin faculty and information sessions about life as a Perkins Fellow
- 12 p.m. Lunch and closing
