ACCESS IS A CIVIL RIGHT: The Photography of Tom Olin

The exhibition features the photography of activist and photojournalist Tom Olin, who has been documenting the disability civil rights movement for nearly 40 years.

The Calvin College Department of Art and Art History is proud to present ACCESS IS A CIVIL RIGHT, in conjunction with the DisArt Festival. Included are images of marches and demonstrations for the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act/ADA (signed into law in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush), as well as countless others in support of curb cuts, access to public transportation, and independent living for disabled persons.
