ARCT-201 Architectual History I
This is an introductory architecture class that consists of a design studio and an architectural drawing class. The goal of this course is to provide students with a solid foundation for architectural design and communication. Students are directed to understand the basic design elements and principles; and experience archi-tectural design in an architectonic way through studio work. Students are also introduced to architectural language. Conventional architectural drawings such as orthographic, paraline and perspective drawings are integrated with studio work. As this is an introductory course, students are encouraged to learn about the local architectural scene through field visits. Also listed as Engineering 103. Materials fee.
