Course Description

Mathematics 162 is the second course in Calvin's calculus sequence. Topics covered include techniques of integration, a short introduction to sequences and series, coordinate systems, vectors, and multivariate calculus.

Homework

The course will usually meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week. Homework will be due each Monday and Thursday, but it will be collected the day after it is due so that there is ample opportunity to ask questions about it. You are encouraged to discuss homework problems with other members of the class, but the work you turn in must be your own.


Test and Final Exam Schedule


Grades

Course grades will be based on the homework, quizzes, the three tests, and the final exam.

Study assistance is available in the evenings according to the following schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., North Hall Room 251.
