In this course students will
- be able to use terms of discrete mathematics accurately in
their own writing. They will interpret correctly the meaning of such
terms when used in homework exercises and tests.
- demonstrate, by working routine exercises, mastery of methods and
algorithms presented in the course.
- improve in their ability to communicate mathematics effectively.
- be able to identify tools from the course which, for given real-world
problems, bring these problems into the realm of computing.
- be able to identify various types of relations, and depict them
using matrices and/or graphs.
