DIRECTIONS TO UCLA, SHUTTLE AND TAXI INFORMATION


Freeway Approaches to UCLA: The UCLA campus is easily accessible
from the 405 Freeway by taking either the Sunset Boulevard or 
Wilshire Boulevard exits.  Once you've exited the freeway, head
 east on either Sunset Boulevard or Wilshire Boulevard and enter
 the campus at either Bellagio Drive (from Sunset Boulevard) or
 Westwood Boulevard (from Wilshire Boulevard).  Once on the campus,
 signs provide additional directions.

SUNSET VILLAGE at UCLA

1) From the 405 Freeway, exit on Sunset Blvd.  Proceed EAST on Sunset Blvd
   to Bellagio Drive.
2) Make a RIGHT turn on to Bellagio Drive and proceed to the stop sign
   at the top of the hill. Turn LEFT at the stop sign on to DeNeve Drive.
3) Proceed 3/10 mile down the hill to the PSV (Sunset Village) parking 
   garage.  (You will pass one stop sign just prior to reaching the PSV 
   parking garage.
4) Enter the PSV parking garage and proceed to the 30-minute loading zone 
   on Level 1. You may park temporarily in this area while you unload your 
   belongings and check-in.
5) Take the elevator or the stairs in the southwest corner of the parking 
   garage to the lobby (L) level.  Once on the "L" level, the Covel Commons
   building will be directly in front of you.  Turn RIGHT and walk along the 
   outside of the building.  Turn LEFT at the corner of the building and 
   proceed to the entrance.
6) Check-in at Covel Commons front desk. (Accommodations in Canyon Point,
   Courtside, and Delta Terrace.

DYKSTRA HALL at UCLA

1) From the 405 Freeway, exit on Sunset Blvd. Proceed EAST on Sunset
   Blvd to Bellagio Drive.
2) Make a RIGHT turn on to Bellagio Dr. and proceed to the stop sign 
   at the top of the hill. Turn RIGHT at the stop sign on to DeNeve Drive.
3) Proceed SOUTH on DeNeve Drive, past Hedrick, Rieber, and Sproul Halls 
   (to the left).
4) Make a RIGHT turn on to Circle Drive West.   Turn RIGHT at the first 
    stop sign and proceed down the driveway leading to Dykstra Hall for drop-off. 
    Check-in at the front desk inside of Dykstra Hall.

SAXON and HITCH Suites at UCLA

1) From the 405 Freeway, exit on Sunset Blvd. Proceed EAST on Sunset Blvd to 
   Bellagio Drive.
2) Make a RIGHT turn on to Bellagio Dr. and proceed to the stop sign at the 
   top of the hill. Turn RIGHT at the stop sign on to DeNeve Drive.

For SAXON:
3) Proceed SOUTH on DeNeve Drive, past Hedrick Hall (to the left) and on 
   to Rieber Hall (the next residence hall to your left.
4) Pull into the circle driveway at Rieber Hall for drop-off. 
   Check-in at Rieber Hall.

For HITCH:
3) Proceed SOUTH on DeNeve Drive to Hedrick Hall (the first residence 
   hall to the LEFT.)
4) Pull into the circle driveway at Hedrick Hall for drop-off.  Check in 
   at Hedrick Hall.

Meals for all on-campus guests will be served at Covel Commons.


Taxis/Shuttles

Taxi fare from the airport to UCLA is approximately $24. Door-to-door van 
service is provided by three carriers with various fare schedules. Each operates 
24 hours per day; fares quoted are current as of March; pickup at LAX is at 
the blue van spot on the center traffic island. Prime Time Shuttle (800-733-8267)
and  SuperShuttle (800-BLUEVAN): $14/one person, $28/two persons, $42/three persons;  
Xpress Shuttle (800-427-7483): $12/one person, $19/two persons, $26/three persons.
