Travel to Oudtshoorn

Today is the halfway point for our South African year for Tracy, Mark, and Catherine. It hardly seems possible, but it is true. And now, another posting from our guest blogger, Cynthia!

Our day began with haircuts--South African style!  You first get a hair wash and massage.  Mark and my massage were good; they lasted about 5 minutes. Tracy's took about 20 minutes, making Mark really jealous.  Notice the tray of coffee in the second picture.  They also offer tea or coffee, and bring it to your station along with a cookie and fresh flower! All for about 15 dollars u.s.--tip included!

We came home, had lunch, and then headed on vacation. We started out about 1:3o, and arrived at our B & B at 8:30. We were pleased that we only stopped two times on the whole trip, and one of these stops was for dinner at the Olive Garden--no, not the chain, but a nice little place in the valley about an hour outside of our final destination.
