Elephants
Our first stop was the elephant sanctuary, a place where they care for rescued elephants. One of the elephants we saw today had been raised by a homeowner in Johannesburg until it grew too big. (It is not clear at all what they were thinking.) The elephant thought it was a part of the family and had a hard time adjusting to life in a herd at the sanctuary.
