Arniston

Amanda and Louis invited us to spend part of their holiday with them in Arniston. We've known about Arniston since we lived in South Africa in 1992-93, so we were eager to check it out. Named after an old shipwreck, Arniston is a costal town, right near the southern tip of Africa. A fishing village (Kassiesbaai) and a holiday resort (Arniston) sit beside each other on the coast. 

The trip from Stellenbosch is supposed to take two hours, but it took us four. We took way too many stops for petrol, lunch, food, and bathrooms. After we arrived in the mid-afternoon, we went down to the middle of three beaches for a swim. See photos below.
