Catherine and Chino

The Ravenna B&B has several dogs that are free to roam the farm. There is a huge dog, a poodle-type-thing, and this Jack Russell Terrier named Chino. The big dog was pretty slow, but the two little ones chase after cars, walk into the cottages whenever they please, and go on hikes with the guests.

Catherine was both terrified and fascinated by the huge dog, so she mostly kept her distance. But, the two little dogs were another story. She dropped scraps of dinner food (on the sly) to encourage them to stay. As we were leaving our cottage to check out, Chino tried to jump in the car. Tracy, Mark, and I wanted to shoo her out, but Catherine encouraged her to climb in. In the end (and over Mark's vocal objections, "I don't like this idea"), we let Chino ride with us to the reception house.

All was fine until we were ready to drive away. Chino jumped back into our car and sat on Catherine's seat before Catherine could climb in! After extracting Chino, we quickly buckled Catherine and drove away. About 20 km down the road (and traveling at 120 km/hr), Catherine blurted from the back seat "I think the dogs are following us now!"
