Mark and I hiked Table Mountain with Ed today. We wanted to try, for the last time, to go up Skeleton Gorge and go down with the Cable Car. Our previous attempts had been scuttled by bad weather. A strong Southeaster was blowing yesterday, so we were concerned about the winds for today. But, WindGuru.com said that winds would be light and minimum around 14h30 as the wind changed from a Southeaster to a northerly. WindGuru was right, and we had a spectacular day to climb, even if it was a bit hot. See below for lots of photos.

In the evening, we had a pool party at a neighbor's house. The party was a welcoming party for a new family on the block and a farewell party for us. The usual things happened. We thought the party would be a casual affair, but, when we arrived we learned that it was a sit-down meal (we had already eaten dinner as the party started at 18h30). And, the party went well beyond Mark and Catherine's bedtimes. No matter, we had a fun time. Catherine played in the pool; Mark made a new friend (Anna). All was well.
