Who is this guy?

Information

I'm a professor of Computer Science at Calvin College. My PhD is in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder and my research interests are in Language Technology and Human-Computer Interaction. I’ve also done:

research since 1998 (in January terms and on sabbaticals in 2003 and 2010/2011) at the CSIRO ICT Centre in Sydney.¹
an externship with (then Siemens) Dematic during my sabbatical in the Fall of 2002.²
post-doctoral research for 3 years at the Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Brighton.³
industrial avionics work, for 3 years in the late 1980's, at Rockwell-Collins on GPS navigation user equipment.³
