Who is this guy?

Information

I'm a professor of Computer Science at Calvin College and am currently serving as department chair. My PhD is in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder and my research interests are in Language Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, and Software Engineering. I’ve also done:

post-doctoral research for 3 years at the Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Brighton.¹
research since 1998 (in successive January terms and on sabbatical during the spring of 2003) at the Commonwealth Scientific & Research Organization (CSIRO) in Sydney.²
an externship with Siemens Dematic during my sabbatical in the Fall of 2002.³
industrial avionics work, for 3 years in the late 1980's, at Rockwell-Collins on GPS navigation user equipment.³
