For Parents
Children who participate in a study will work with Professor Karen Miller or a Calvin undergraduate research assistant. Sessions last 15-20 minutes and are in the form of language games or story-telling. Children respond to questions either by pointing to a picture or with short answers. This allows us to determine how children interpret different types of linguistic structures.
Parents can choose to stay with their child during the session or watch their child on video from an adjacent room. Siblings are welcome to come along! We will provide toys for their entertainment while they are waiting.
Children who come to campus to participate will receive a Calvin College Language Studies Lab t-shirt and a small toy.
Parking is free.
For further information or for directions, please contact Karen Miller at klm26@calvin.edu.
