Flammable-Liquid Storage Cabinets

Cabinets designed for the storage of flammable liquids should be properly used and maintained. Read and follow the manufacturer's information and also follow these safety practices:

NFPA Guidelines and OSHA Standards on Flammable Liquids must be utilized as standards for Worker/Fire Protection. These standards are found in
29 CFR (H)-(L), NFPA 30, and NFPA 45.

First Aid Kits

First aid kits in the Science Building are primarily located in the hall way near the elevator and are to be used for the immediate response to minor injuries, such as cuts or minor burns. All injury victims have the option of obtaining medical treatment or consultation.

Minor injuries requiring first aid shall always be reported to a supervisor (see Accident Reporting):

Body Fluid Cleanup Kits

Body fluid cleanup kits in the Science Building are primarily located in the hall way near the elevator and meet the requirements found in 29 CFR 1910.1030 - Bloodborne pathogens standard. The kits are to be used whenever body fluid is encountered; in compliance with Calvin's Bloodborne Pathogen Plan.
