Petra and Jerash

The team visited two of Jordan's most famous cities- the city of the ancient Nabataeans, Petra and the Roman city of Jerash.

Petra: The famous rose-colored city and capital of the ancient Nabataean empire. The city of Petra is secluded in the desert, and its primary entrance is a long narrow passage called the Siq. The houses and temples of Petra are carved out of the rock of the canyon walls producing a spectacular visual presentation.

Jerash is located about 29 miles north of Amman. It is a beautifully preserved provincial Roman city.
