Qasr Kharana: An eighth Ummayad Castle, possibly a fort.

Qasr Amra: Eighth century hunting lodge with painted frescos on the inside walls and domed baths.

Fort Azraq and Azraq Wetland Reserve: Fort Azraq is located about 60 miles east of Amman by the oasis of Azraq. The Fort/Castle is made of black basalt and is dated to about the early 13th century. The Wetland Reserve is located close by, a unique oasis restored by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN).

Shaumari Nature Reserve: a wildlife park right by the Azraq Oasis with some of the Middle East's endangered species (oryxes, ostriches, onagers, and gazelles).
