Richard G. De Jong

Sc.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1977).

Dr. De Jong teaches applied mechanics in the Engineering Department at Calvin College. He does research and consulting in the areas of environmental acoustics and machinery noise & vibration control. He previously worked for Cambridge Collaborative, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in acoustics and vibration research and development. He is co-author with R. H. Lyon of a textbook on the Theory and Applications of Statistical Energy Analysis.
