Vision
The campus ministry department of Trinity Christian College desires that each student of Trinity understand how much Christ truly loves us. Opportunities for faith development through worship, service, and nurture are supervised by the chaplain, and implemented by the campus ministry team, a group of four student chaplains, and six team leaders.

Chapel Services
Chapels are 10:00-10:40 am on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Chapel is designed to encourage and challenge faculty, staff, and students through music, drama, speakers, and other programs.

Chapel is not mandatory, but if Trinity students wish to take advantage of every opportunity to grow and mature as Christians, they will want to attend on a regular basis.

Other Worship Opportunities
Each Thursday night at 10:00 PM, students gather in the chapel for an hour of "Praise and Worship."  This student-led group began in 1993 and has grown each year in terms of attendance.

Highlights
Prayer Ministry: The power of prayer has been dramatically felt on Trinity's campus in the last year.  This student- and staff-led ministry meets regularly throughout the week with prayers of thanksgiving and petition.  Requests for prayer come from the Trinity community and constituency.

Men's & Women's Ministries: Fellowship groups and Bible study groups are designed to assist and challenge you in your spiritual growth.  They may be led by a Campus Ministry Council member, a faculty member, or be a student-led fellowship group.

Opportunities to serve the community in various ways including rehab work, yard work, soup kitchen assistance, etc. are scheduled regularly.  Also, Trinity students participate in PACE (Programmed Activities Correctional Education), a secular, city-wide prison program.  Once a week, Trinity students go to Chicago's Cook County Jail to tutor inmates working to get their GED.  This program is an opportunity to spread the love of Jesus to inmates.

The Church Connection Initiative at Trinity works with local churches to reinforce their mission and equip their leaders and lay members with the instruction, knowledge, and opportunities necessary to enhance their service in God's kingdom.

The program seeks to educate church leaders and lay people in ways of cultivating corporate and individual ministry. Trinity faculty, staff, and students contribute as partners and co-learners in the program. The CCIT also serves as a resource to help young people discern the call to ministry.

The CCIT is a partnership of Trinity Christian College in cooperation with Calvin Theological Seminary, the Center for Excellence in Preaching, and the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. The venture also is supported by the Lilly Endowment.
