Worship at seminaries embodies a multitude of liturgical, ecclesiological, and theological perspectives. The Latin dictum lex orandi/lex credendi points to the dynamic connection between what a community says it believes and the way its prayer life expresses its belief.
These sorts of observations lead naturally to theoretical and theological exploration of the issues surrounding worship in seminary communities.
As a preliminary guide to that exploration, you will find here plenty of thoughtful material, including the following: an annotated bibliography of research related to seminary worship, reflections on the Seminary Chapel colloquium from some of its participants; and some piquant theological questions to energize a conversation about seminary worship, and finally, a list of links to other pages on the CICW website that speak to issues raised here.
