Worship at Christian Seminaries
Church at School and School in Church: Studying Worship on Seminary Campuses
by Ron Rienstra
Nearly every seminary in North America worships together during the week. These services are central to a seminary’s communal life and work, for worship is deeply formative – spiritually, educationally, and institutionally. Yet there is significant variety in the ways in which seminary communities plan for, lead, and learn about worship.
Worship and Seminary Education
The Association for Reformed and Liturgical Worship (AR&LW) has begun a conversation around the formation of worship leaders for Reformed congregations. Partners in this conversation include congregations, seminaries who train the worship leaders, and the judicatory bodies that ordain these leaders. Read about

Worship at Christian Colleges and Universities
Most Christian colleges and universities share one abiding passion: meeting together with the community to worship God. The kinds of worship services and expectations for those gatherings vary widely from one campus to another, yet what binds us all together is the desire to come into the Lord's presence to offer our praise and our prayers to the God whose grace covers everything that we do.
This section offers a tour of some of the Christian colleges and universities around North America. You will find links to their campus ministry websites and our own list of highlights from each campus.
Along the way, you may discover ideas and illustrations that may inform and nurture your own worshiping community. Dig in and enjoy!
