Christ as the Mediator of God's Grace: A Series on Hebrews
During the next four weeks we will be presenting services from the worship life of Calvin College which have been designed around the theme of the book of Hebrews. We are grateful to the Calvin College Worship Apprentice team, particularly to Cindy de Jong, Coordinator of Student Worship, for helping make these available for your consideration. These services have been part of the morning chapel worship at Calvin College during the past season.
The theme of Hebrews is the absolute supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ as the revealer of God and mediator of God's grace. All the Old Testament prophecies are fulfilled in the new covenant of which Christ is the mediator. Christ is shown to be superior to angels, the prophets, Moses, Aaron and the entire line of ancient priests. This full revelation of God's grace through Christ provides a sure foundation for our faith.
