Shepherd Me, O God: Renewing the Richness of Singing the Psalms
Marty Haugen
Calvin Symposium on Worship 2000
Since the birth of Christianity, the psalms have been a constant and rich voice of praise and lament for worshipers. While many churches in the Reformed tradition are singing fewer psalms, other traditions are revitalizing the practices of psalm singing. This session called for more interactivity in our singing of the psalms in worship.
Marty Haugen is a prolific composer of psalms, service music, hymn settings, and works for choirs and solo voice.
