Who You Are Is How You Are Heard: Personality and Personal Ethics in Preaching
Mary Hulst
Calvin Symposium on Worship 2006

This session will demonstrate how the small choices preachers make (i.e. illustrations, use of humor, self-referential anecdotes) provide hearers not only with a better understanding of the text, but also with a keen understanding of the preacher. Come and learn how to become self-aware in your own preaching and improve your "ethics of preaching," or learn how to listen to the things your preacher isn't saying.
