In this presentation, pastor and sociologist Gerardo Marti provided highlights from his recent book: A Mosaic of Believers: Diversity and Innovation in a Multiethnic Church. He also discussed his current research to discuss worship music as a means to accomplish racial diversity in churches.

Gerardo Marti is assistant professor of sociology at Davidson College, an ordained pastor, and Congregational Studies Team Fellow as part of the Engaged Scholars Project funded by the Lilly Foundation. He is author of A Mosaic of Believers: Diversity and Innovation in a Multiethnic Church (Indiana University Press, 2005) and and Hollywood Faith: Holiness, Prosperity, and Ambition in a Los Angeles Church (Rutgers University Press, 2008).
