Bridge Street AME Church, Brooklyn, New York

. Project Description: Bridge Street AME Church in Brooklyn, New York planned a one-day Prayer Convocation as a part of their year-long process of worship renewal. When the leaders arrived that morning to open the church, people were already standing outside waiting to go in to pray. Participants came from all ministries and departments in the church. Walking through the community they prayed for businesses, fire departments, police precincts, schools, and individuals who either stopped the group and asked for prayer or asked if they could join in the prayer! Project Director Valerie Cousin reports, "This was exciting and life-changing."
