The Gospel Tabernacle (Kemah Injil) was started by from the mission outreach of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Immediately after the Second World War, American missionaries from the Christian and Missionary Alliance entered upland Papua and soon established mission stations throughout the cordillera that runs east and west through the entire island of New Guinea. Today there are hundreds of small churches throughout the uplands. The church presented here is located among the Dani people in the Baliem Valley.
