Ron Rienstra directed the LOFT, a student-planned and -led worship service, for a number of years at Calvin. Rienstra is ordained in the Reformed Church in America and is currently a doctoral student in theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. He continues to preach, write, and lead workshops about worship.

His primary interest is emerging worship—helping congregations, worship teams, and individuals learn to deepen and enliven their gatherings with God. He preaches at LOFT and in area pulpits, conducts workshops on worship, and publishes in Reformed Worship and elsewhere. His other interests include music of all flavors, gardening, sewing, hiking, soccer, and reading with his children. He also knows his way around a six-string.
