Rev. Kathleen Smith is Director of Continuing Education for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and Calvin Theological Seminary, and Director of Making Connections Initiative, CTS. She administers grant-funded reading, residency, and continuing education programs for both institutions and coordinates collaborative efforts in publicity and hospitality. She develops conferences and workshops on worship and congregational ministry for pastors and church leaders and serves as a speaker for many of these events.
Kathy’s areas of interest include preaching and worship, church polity and administration, leadership development, and the arts in worship. She graduated from Calvin College with degrees in art and education and from Calvin Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Kathy is an ordained minister in the Christian Reformed Church in North America and has served as a pastor of the First Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
