REC 6
Yesterday I talked with a man from Uganda who was explaining to me the
atmosphere of his country when it comes to religion. He said that now
is the time, more than ever, to come and preach the Gospel in Uganda.
He said the people, because of the devastating affects of AIDS/HIV (2
million orphaned children with AIDS in a country of 20
million!) are willing to listen to the Gospel. When all hope
is lost, the people are the most hopeful that they will find a source
of hope. Word is spreading about the hope in Christ and how that hope
transforms.
Today I witnessed the Lord’s prayer spoken in at least 30 different
languages. It struck me. This is probably the closest visual picture
I will ever get to fully understanding the Body of Christ with its
MANY diverse parts.
