Special Update From South Africa

We just wanted to give everybody a heads up about this weekend. Tomorrow (Saturday), January 13, our group will leave Cape Town and fly north to Johannesburg. We will be staying at a Bed & Breakfast, but we have no clue what the internet connection will be like. We may have luck on our side again and have a free wireless hookup, but we may be without a connection for a few days in which case we will do our best to find an internet café to keep you all updated. Thanks for all the comments – we enjoy reading them aloud and embarrassing everybody – and please keep us in your prayers as we travel.

  4. Hi again, Carlie and group!

Here I am, just to provide fodder for embarrassment; that’s the goal of all these postings, you know…

Too cool to have met Desmond Tutu!!  Especially after having spent a lot of time researching his life, Carlie!  We are enjoying all the updates and photos.  Love the penguin sign; kudos to whoever took that photo as a unique memento.

ASKING A FAVOR OF THE GROUP:  It is Carlie’s half-birthday today (if you are reading this on Jan. 13); our family gets a little carried away with birthdays and even the 1/2s, so you can all embarrass her or make her day or whatever, by singing “Happy 1/2-birthday to you.”  Go on, now…

Thank you, all!  And enjoy the rest of your time!
