about
The primary academic objective of this Interim is to gain firsthand knowledge and understanding of how racial injustice has been encountered in political and industrial contexts. Students will explore - in readings, classes, and visits - South Africa's apartheid past, the struggles for and painful miracle of its democratic transition, and the political-economy of the mining industry where interactions of politics, business, and race are poignant.

Ali just called and said all is going well. She said that they are all healthy--Praise God!!
The electricity there, when there is any, is sketchy so the internet contact is difficult from that standpoint as well. She said they saw elephants, giraffes, and lions on their tour today!!
Just thought I would pass along the info.
God Bless,
Kelley
