about
The primary academic objective of this Interim is to gain firsthand knowledge and understanding of how racial injustice has been encountered in political and industrial contexts. Students will explore - in readings, classes, and visits - South Africa's apartheid past, the struggles for and painful miracle of its democratic transition, and the political-economy of the mining industry where interactions of politics, business, and race are poignant.

You shoud be in Kruger Park by now, enjoying the african scenery. Wishing all the luck in spotting the great 5!
I hope you had a good experience in Kgautswane village. The people there must have been thrilled to see Calvin students again this year!
Enjoy everything, you are not missing much here: always grey sky!
LOVE to Marlin,
Rina
