SB07 Toronto: Midnight Adventures

the view from the hot tub

photo scavenger hunts, modified versions of lava tag/wood and metal at a random playground, capture the flag, hot tubbing on a hotel roof, awesome photo shoots; all in downtown toronto at midnight.  so where should i start?

Photo Scavenger Hunt
Ian’s idea late in the night.  we head downtown, armed with digital cameras, and split up into two groups, each with our own car.  we have a list of photos that we need, and we have 1.5 hours to do as many photos as we can.  winner is the group with the most photos.  so we have items like: most expensive car, upside down, twins, policeman, tattoos, and more.  i’ll add the photos when i get them from the other guys.

Lava Tag/Wood and Metal
find a random playground downtown at 1am, when the streets are completely empty, and start playing tag.  the playground is partitioned into sections, ground, wood, metal, and plastic, and the person who’s “it” must choose two partitions to be on.  so if i’m it, i can choose to be wood and metal, and i can only touch the wood and metal parts of the playground.  everyone else can touch anything but ground.  things got crazy fast, but it was sweet playing like a kid again.  i hate getting old too fast…

Capture the Flag
capture the flag on empty downtown streets at 1:30am.  sweet!

Hot Tubbing on a Hotel Roof
some girls from my sister floor are also in the city for the break, and they’re living at a sweet hotel downtown.  so what do we do?  of course we pay a visit, cuz we like those girls.  so we have a hot tubbing night on their hotel roof, looking at the toronto skyline under the stars with a projection TV shooting onto a massive wall beside us.  pretty darn awesome for a relaxing night.  then we head to their room and watch Step Up and eat some toronto pizza.  perfect.

Awesome Photo Shoots
