Praise Break
What a beautiful evening to worship God on!
there is something refreshing about music worship outdoors on a warm evening under the full moon. every week on wednesday, the Barnabas team organizes a music worship evening with some people on our dorm. they plan out the songs, gather up the instrumentalists, and then practice for the weekly event.
it’s pretty much completely student run, and i had the honor of playing for them near the beginning of the year. they do a wonderful job, and they give everyone an opportunity to take a break from their homework to worship God. it’s also held on a wednesday, the middle of the week, which is sometimes the most depressing day of the week since the weekend seems so far away. it’s a pretty casual event, and i’ll do my best to drop by for several songs before returning to my room for more homework. last week’s praise break was held on the sundeck on the third floor, between my floor and my sister floor. they had the projector all set up and they had two acoustic guitars and a djembe. it was a sweet little acoustic set with some of our favorite songs. since it was held a few steps away from my room, i decided to check it out and take the opportunity to snap some pics. it was a beautiful evening, and i got some pretty sweet shots.
