Happy Chinese New Year!


elissa’s stir fry

it’s the year of the pig as of today.  so what do we do?  we celebrate with some cooking.  stir fry, ramen, and more!

elissa from the philippines, tiffany from taiwan, and jeff, daniel, and i from hong kong visited our sister floor’s coffee kitchen and brought our cooking stuffs.  we made some rice (a mix of different types of rice of course, so it actually looked purply) mixed it with dried shredded pork, and munched away.  another of my hong kong friends, karen, went to the local chinese church to celebrate with a potluck.  i’d never gone there before, so she told me a bit about the church.  it’s small, with under 150 people, and there were lots of kids.  all but two or three people were chinese, and the church was around a 15 min drive away.  maybe i’ll check it out sometime…
