Happy Birthday to You, Floormate!

it’s friday, and we’re at TGIF ready to surprise our dear floormate jacob vandenbosch, who turned 21.  i think we followed some kind of social law by being at TGIF on a friday night; it couldn’t have been any better.

we arrived early, with a table reserved under the name “Mr. Smiley,” our floor mascot.  i noticed something was missing, something festive.  so i asked the waitress for some balloons, and we had fun blowing them up (both in the airy and explosive sense), before hiding in front of the men’s bathroom as we awaited jacob.  our floor’s AC (activities coordinator), Nathaniel, and another floormate, Christian, were watching a movie with Jacob and then they were bringing him over to TGIF.

and then this happened:

after disrupting business at the restaurant, we settled down for some good food and good company.
